You'll laugh like you never grew up at the new Ross Petty Production of
PETER PAN, The Family Musical That's Silly. Very Silly!
This PETER PAN takes place in modern day 2007 where Wendy dreams of being
a pop star, Tinkerbell is busy downloading music off the Internet and Captain
Hook would give his right arm to go to Hollywood to become the next big action star
... look out Johnny Depp!
PETER PAN is directed by Susan H. Schulman, written by Chris Earle, choreographed
by Tracey Flye, with Steve Hunter as Music Director.
Four-time Canadian Figure Skating Champion, four-time World Champion
and three-time Olympian, Kurt Browning, will put his "skates on ice" to make his musical theatre debut as Peter Pan!
"Kurt and I have been looking for a show to do together for years. With his sparkling wit, incredible enthusiasm,
and amazing physicality, there isn't a better role for Kurt anywhere than the boy who never grew up", says Petty

Ross Petty, producer of these fractured fairy tales for twelve years at the Elgin Theatre, will take on the role of the deliciously evil Captain Hook, recklessly determined to exact revenge on Peter Pan, while waiting for his close up.
Jennifer Waiser, fresh from the Broadway production of The Pirate Queen, will take on the high flying role of techno Tinkerbell. Closer to home, Waiser was nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for her performance as roller-skating Little Sally in the Canadian premiere of Urinetown.
Eddie Glen, making his 5th appearance with Ross Petty Productions, will appear as Hook's sidekick Smee. Glen received a Dora Award nomination for his performance in Petty's Snow White in 2005.
Meghan Hoople, an up-and-coming musical theatre talent, will appear as Wendy Darling. Hoople recently appeared in A Midsummer's Night Dream in High Park.
Petty is delighted to be directed, once again, by New York veteran Susan H. Schulman.
"Susan and I have been friends since she directed me in an 0ff-Broadway production of Carnival. Her ability to put a big musical together is matchless, and she has a terrific communication with performers", Petty adds.
Schulman's recent Broadway credits include Little Women, The Sound of Music, The Secret Garden and Sweeney Todd. For Canada's Stratford Festival, Schulman directed Fiddler On The Roof with Brent Carver, Man Of La Mancha, The King and I, Hello Dolly, and this season, To Kill a Mockingbird. After PETER PAN, Schulman will return to Stratford to direct The Music Man.
Writer Chris Earle has picked up the plume for this modern adaptation of the J.M. Barrie classic. Also an actor and director, Earle’s plays include Democrats Abroad (New York Fringe Excellence Award),
Radio :30 (Dora Mavor Moore Award, Chalmers New Play Award, Canadian Comedy Award),
Russell Hill (Dora nomination), and Big Head Goes to Bed (co-written with Shari Hollett).
The rest of the cast feature Brandon Banks and Matthew Del Bel Belluz as Michael and John Darling with Larry Mannell, Geoffrey Tyler and Steven Gallagher as the Lost Boyz II Men.
Producer Petty welcomes Presenting Sponsor BMO Financial Group to his annual holiday family tradition. "BMO Financial Group is proud to sponsor Peter Pan starring World Figure Skating Champion Kurt Browning." said Susan Payne, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Marketing, Head of Marketing & Client Strategy, BMO Financial Group. "As a long time sponsor of skating in Canada, BMO is thrilled to help bring Kurt's charm and charisma from the ice to the stage in his musical theatre debut."
Ross Petty productions also acknowledges the support of Pizza Pizza, Le Royal Meridien King Edward Hotel and Tim Hortons.
